On the 26^th of June 2023, His Serene Highness Prince Albert of Monaco visited Livorno Ferraris and was welcomed by the Municipality of Livorno F. (in the person of the outgoing Mayor, Prof. Stefano Corgnati, the current Mayor, Franco Sandra and the Councilor for Culture, Mara Bianchetti). The visit was planned by the “Historical sites of the Grimaldi family” association, a body which has been convened by HSH Prince Albert to explore and strengthen the historic connections of the Grimaldi family with a number of Italian sites. HSH Prince Albert was awarded honorary citizenship of the Municipality and made an official visit to the Archaeological Museum of Western Vercellese where Prof. M.E. Gorrini (University of Pavia) and Dr. Francesca Garanzini (SABAP, Vercelli) presented the collection and the University of Pavia led landscape archaeology project.
