Call for application for Winter school: Entangled food histories
The International Winter School Entangled food histories – Mobility in food cultures from ancient history to contemporary times (12 -16 December at the University of Pavia; 21 December online) aims at investigating the concept of mobility both in a practical and symbolic sense and to consider different spatial and temporal contexts, from the ancient to the contemporary world to answer the following questions:
how do food practices develop? Are they volatile or fixed across centuries? How do food cultures circulate and how do they influence each other? How do institutions confront the problems related to the necessities of the societies they operate for?

Applications must be sent by 15 November 2022 to entangledfoodhistory@unipv.it. See the call for applications for further details. The participation for the students of the University of Pavia is FREE.
For the students in other Universities
- Early-bid participation fee (by 15 October): 70 euro.
- From 16 October to 15 November: 100 euro.
