Fieldwork Opportunities in Turkey – CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

We are now accepting applications for this year’s archaeological fieldwork opportunities in Turkey. There are two active projects this season, offering valuable hands-on experience in Iron Age and Hellenistic archaeology:

  1. Niğde Kınık Höyük Project: This excavation will focus on deep-sounding excavations in the field and ceramic analysis in the lab.
  2. Türkmen-Karahöyük Project: A new addition this year, this project will involve surface scraping, field collection, and cataloging of finds in the lab.

Eligibility: There are six available positions for UNIPV students pursuing studies in Archaeology or Western Asian Studies. This is an excellent opportunity to engage directly in fieldwork and lab work, gaining experience with excavation and cataloging methods in significant historical contexts.

Application Process: Interested students should send a motivation letter (max 2000 characters) and a CV to Giacomo Casucci (giacomo.casucci01@universitadipavia.it) by Wednesday, November 13.

Selection Date: Selection will take place on Friday, November 15. We kindly request applicants to be available on Friday afternoon for any further steps in the selection process.
