To all the MA students

Dear students of the Masters Degree in The Ancient Mediterranean World,

I have received in these days some feedbacks from you that point out organizational difficulties in the Syllabus structure and in the schedule/timetables of your classes. I’m very sorry and I apologize on behalf of my Colleagues, too.

You mainly emphasize the late beginning of your classes (in early November instead of early October) and an imbalance in the courses’s deployment, which overflows between the end of February and the beginning of June, during the second semester.

The aim of these organizational choices, in this 3 year span of our MA (born in 2019), has been to give time to international students to complete the usually complicated bureaucratic procedures in order to enter and stay in Italy and moreover extraordinarily slowed down by the pandemic emergency regulation promoted from all the involved countries. But is sure thing that in the years to come, after the definitive pandemic overcoming, the class schedules will be better balanced, with the educational activities starting at the end of September.

Regarding the specific issue of the course Archaeological and Museological Aspects of Ancient Egypt, I’m glad to inform you that, thanks to the cooperation of Prof. Greco and the Staff of the Museo Egizio in Turin, the lectures and seminars will regularly being given during the first semester, starting from November, 18, at 11 am, Room L6.

Finally, I would remind you that wide and updated information in English language, related to the planning of the courses, is always available on the website http://medarch.unipv.eu/ under the heading Last News.

Very sincerely yours,

Maurizio Harari

Cari studenti del corso di laurea magistrale in The Ancient Mediterranean World,

Molto cordialmente,

Maurizio Harari
