University fees are based on a Flat Rate. Tuition fees include a flat fee (or fixed / first installment, 156 €) and a variable fee (all-inclusive fee). The amount of the variable fee for Italian, EU and non-EU students is calculated differently, please see below for details. Payments are are split in four installments. First installment (fixed fee) is 156€, the second installment is the 40% of the total fee amount, the third installment is the 30% of the total tuition fee amount, the fourth installment is the differerence between the total tuition fee amount and the previous installment. For complete information please see this page (page in Italian) (page in English language). There you will also find a Tax Simulator for incomes produced abroad.

Please find below a brief description of how tuition fees for Italian, EU and non-EU students are calculated.

.

Italian and EU students

All-inclusive-fee calculated according to the family income, students must to take into account the fee area (Humanistic Studies is in area N°2, Table at page 19, document). Fee will be determined according to the bracket and the columns in “Area 2” (page 20 and 21) based to the family income (ISEE). Students who choose this method of calculation will need to pay four installments as previously indicated.

.

Non-EU students

Tuition fees for non-EU students are automatically calculated according to their citizenship. The amount of the tuition fee depends on the classification of home-countries in brackets. The classification is proposed by the World Bank. Students must upload study visas and/or regular permit of stay to have their tuition fees correctly calculated. Fees will include a fixed registration fee (first installment, 156 €) + 3 installments. The cost of the installments depends on the country of origin (page 22-24 in the tax announcement).

Flat rates do not apply to students who applied for EDISU benefits (free meals, places in colleges etc…) or EDISU scholarships. Students who applied for EDISU benefits will automatically have their fee calculated according to their family income.
